The McCain/Palin campaign and the right wing media (like Fox News & Lou Dobbs on CNN) have been raising a big stink about the so called “voter fraud” of ACORN. They claim that ACORN is purposefully registering 1000s of fake names in order to help Democrats (like Barack Obama) get elected.
The first very important point to make in rebuttle to this claim is that fake names cannot vote. What they are calling “voter fraud” is actually “voter registration fraud” and it’s a far, far different situation. It doesn’t effect the results of the election at all. It’s a
