I have recently been thinking about selling my house and as with a lot of subjects like this have been attempting to work out what the best path to make the house look good before we either sell our house or remain in it for a bit longer. I began by looking at various rooms in the house and thinking about what I might do to better them and iron out the issues I might feel about them.
Central to my house is the kitchen so I started their considering the kitchen layout, our kitchen is a fitted kitchen which is quite east to use with a reasonable work space (luckily I talked to a near by kitchen company about kitchen planning ahead of buying). The floor was a bit of an issue with just lino down which had got a little ripped up as I had moved washing machines and fridges about in it. I got some tiling advice from a local company to get the floor tiles that would work in with the kitchen units without making the room look to dark (just some of the little things you have to consider when you want to sell your house, first impressions are everything within the small time somebody has to view your house).
I then wanted to make sure the bathroom was up to scratch, my bathroom layout was a little small because of some fitted cupboards which once removed gave me lots more room (which if you are going on initial view could help sell my house). Once again I went down to the area tiler for some good tiling advice and went for larger light tiles which appeared to open the space in the room, just one of the many things to be considering when purchasing bathroom tiles.
I then went through the house and decorated with a neutral light colour which seemed to draw the rooms out and gave the whole house a new look. I then stripped out as much clutter as I could and boxed everything that wasn’t essential away in the garage. The final thing, a house that I wanted to remain in, but after just a few viewings brought to me from an online property site I have got some good interest, so heres hoping ill be able to sell my house soon.
